Good building stones are quarried in LaChevrotiere (the so-called Deschambaulfc stone, of which the principalbuildings in Quebec are constructed), at Montreal, Point Claire,Mille Roches in Cornwall township, Kingston, Ox Point near Belle-ville, Cobourg, Lake Conchiching north of Lake Simcoe, and variousother localities.
