Business has been good all the week, finishing up with an excellent St. Val- entine's day trade. Unusually fine nov- elties were seen at the flower stores, which attracted many people and con- sequently good sales were made. Most of the store windows bore some resem- blance or other to St. Valentine, and advertising on a larger scale than usual brought good results. There was plenty of good stock on the market all the week, which cleared fairly well. Car- nations are more plentiful than any other kind of flower, the demand being fair. The darker shades, as previously, are somewhat slow in selling. Large quantities of daffodils and jonquils ar- rive each day, but the single ones are somewhat glutty. Despite the dark days, there has been a good supply of roses and they are of good quality. All shades s
