It is a matterof grief and pride to the class that Dan Newcomerof 21 died for his FRANK JOSEPH DORNER On the death of Frank Dorner, the Class of 1921lost one of its most enthusiastic and popular mem-bers. From the time that he entei-ed college he wasknown all over the campus for his bounding good-nature and pep. His ready smile and helpinghand won him friends universally. No party oneither side of the campus was complete without the summer of 1918 Frank enlisted in the NavalReserve and was on active duty until he returnedto Bates to grace the ranks of our quota of thatbranch of service. His experience together withhis enthusiasm and good nature made him one ofour most efficient non-coms. The whole class, thewhole college, mourned his untimely death, andnow cherish the memory of him, a student, a class-mate, and a friend. 67 Sformet g>tubeutB Allen, Ruth OsgoodAnderson, Ida MaeBaker, Guy SanfordBarron, Julia HopkinsBenjamin, George JellisonClifford, Earl AugustusDorner, FrankDrake, John FrancisDuFFETT, Warren AlonzoFullerton, ThelmaGould, Roy SeldonHuff, E
