Norway. Four hundred miles north of the Arctic Circle, and only ten miles from the Russian border, in the twin towns of Kirkenes and Bjornevatn, lies the Norwegian iron mine of Sydvaranger. It was repeatedly bombed during the war end as a rebuilt Kirkenes (seen here) was also damaged
