Shoeburyness, Essex, UK. 10th Jul, 2021. Postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic the triathlon has been cleared to return as restrictions are lifted for 2021. Taking place in the Shoeburyness area to the east of Southend on Sea the competitors began the competition with a 750m swim in the Thames Estuary before taking to their bikes for a 20k ride through country lanes and returning for a 5k run in the coastal Gunners Park with its imposing wartime defensive structures.
