160802-N-WX580-620 PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 2, 2016) Embarked Media observes an MV-22 Osprey, assigned to Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron One (VMX-1), land aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Carl Vinson is currently conducting a Fleet Battle Experiment with the MV-22, to explore, analyze, and document its operting characteristics within a carrier strike group, in preparation for replacing the Navy's C-2A Greyhound Carrier Onboard Delivery (COD) Platform.
