Windsor, Berkshire, UK. 6th June, 2023. The remains of charcoal fires, disposable BBQs and picnics were littered in Windsor today near the River Thames. This is a regular and persistent problem during periods of warm weather. Many of the BBQs have been lit in grass and next to long grass creating a fire risk. The hot embers can also be an injury risk to wildlife. Local Councillors will be reviewing the matter further and liaising with the appropriate authorities to warn visitors of the fire risks.
