ENM pain relief device. This is a Remedi electronic nerve modulation (ENM) device used to relieve chronic pain. The two electrodes (beige patches) are placed over the spinal column and transmit rapid electrical impulses through the skin to the nerves of the spinal cord. The impulses alter the way in which the central nervous system conducts chronic pain signals as they travel from the spinal cord to the brain. Because ENM targets the deeper nerves of the spinal cord and not the peripheral nerves it does not produce a tingling sensation in the skin.
