Theblock is subdivided into sections weighing 15 tons, which are hoistedfrom pit by means of derricks, and placed on cars and transported tothe gangsaws. Equipment: There are 8 Merriam gangsaws. A 25 motor drivesthree gangs, and 8 Francis sand pumps elevate sand to distributors forsaws.
