Embalmers' Dockets ca. 1479–1458 New Kingdom This section of linen fabric is from a sheet used as the outermost wrapping of the mummy of a middle-aged man who was buried on the hillside below the tomb of Senenmut () in the Sheikh Abd el-Qurna cemetery in Western Thebes. A number of the sheets and bandages seem to have been inscribed by the embalmers during the wrapping process (see –.182). In all cases, the hieratic hand writing is the Embalmers' Dockets 548745
