A walker at Skelton Tower overlooking Newton Dale in the North York Moors.
Newton Dale in the North York Moors National Park, is a gorge that has been cut through the surrounding high moorland by melt water at the end of the last ice age. The North York Moors Steam Railway line now runs along the bottom for part of it's journey from Grosmont to Pickering, while the surrounding area is popular with walkers.
