The Masai Sabota-Lark inhabits East Africa from thelatitude of Zanzibar to the Equator. Fischer collected the type of the species, a male, at THE BIRDS OF AFRICA, fischeri . MIRAFRA APIATA 41 Kibaradja in November, and other specimens in the Paremountains. He found the species not uncommon amongst thescattered acacia bushes between this range of mountains andthe Pangani river, and recognised his Meijalophunus inasnaicns,founded on a specimen from Little Arusha, not to be specifi-cally distinct.
