Mitchella Repens, Chattahoochee National Forest Partridgeberry growing alongside the trail at Dukes Creek State Park. Partridgeberry (Mitchella Repens) is a very low growing creeping evergreen creeping herb. The red colored fruit is consumed by a variety of birds. Tea from the leaves was once used as an aid in childbirth.
