(Photo Credit: Leejay Lockhart, Fort Campbell Courier) More than 7,000 decorated boots rested on the lawn of the 101st Airborne Division Headquarters building Oct. 1, 2016, during the ninth annual "Run for the Fallen," which is part of Military Survivor Appreciation Week. Runners were able to view the boots during the run and were invited to tour the "Boots on the Ground" display afterward. Each boot represents a fallen service member since Sept. 11, 2001.
