This is the Servia bridge over the artificial Polyfytou Lake, close to the small town of Servia in Kozani Prefecture. It's one of the longest bridges in Greece, with a length of 1372 metres. It was constructed between 1972 and 1975, when the construction of Polyfytou Dam, created the artificial lake with the waters of Aliakmonas river. The bridge is part of the National road that connects Larissa (and Tyrnavos and Elassona) with Kozani, connects the districts of Thessaly and Macedonia. It's one of the two bridges that crosses Polyfytou Lake, the other one is smaller, about 600 m long. Photo taken from the beautiful village of Neraida.
