A soldier participating in a sham attack on a kite balloon during World War One. After jumping from the balloon, the soldier safely lands with a parachute at Camp John Wise in San Antonio, Texas. This photograph was taken on October 16, 1918 and received by the Signal Corps on December 7, 1918. It was approved by the censor on December 13, 1918.
