A committee was appointed, and in March following thesum of $56 was spent in books, etc., which were placed in the recep-tion hallway at the school-house. The trustees appropriated a furthersum of f25 in 1873. These were the initial movements towardsfounding a library, and seem to have satisfied the people for sometime, as no further grants were made until January, 1883, when $33was granted and expended.
