Traditional lion dancers walk through the streets of Blackburn as part of the festivities for Chinese New Year. Lions scare off evil spirits and the skilled Lion dancers, two to each lion, dance through the streets to scare off evil spirits and bring luck to everyone. It is very strenous to perform and the dancers are usually extremely fit martial arts trainers. The happy buddha runs in front of the lions fanning them to keep them cool. This event was in Blackburn in Lancashire to celebrate Chinese New Year
