One of the finest of the upright Junipers main- taining a wonderful dark green color through all seasons and showing blue berries late in summer. Good for corner plantings, as a specimen, or for a tall background effect the year round. J. columnaris. A medium slender form used for accent in the landscape. There are two types of this evergreen — one with a foliage of silver-green and the other of dark green. J. cupressifolia. Similar to Cannarti with finer foliage. J. glauca. One of the finest upright forms with a foliage of blue cast throughout the year and showing silver berries in late summer. Can stand considerable shearing. J. fastigiata. Very similar to the Irish Juniper except the top of the plant is as broad as the base. J. keteleeri. A medium light green foliage that needs yearly shearing to maintain its excellent form. The gray-green berries add color to this fine evergreen which does well when planted in sun or shade. J. mascula. A type similar to the columnaris having a broader base and tapering to a pointed top. The foliage resembles the darker green Cannarti Juniper J. hilli (Dundee). A rapid growing evergreen with silver-green foliage in the summer and turning to a light purple in the fall after the first frost. J. stricta. Semi-dwarf upright of very dense blue-green foliage.
