140,000 ladybugs have a new home in the M'Finda Kalunga Community Garden in the Lower East Side neighborhood of New York, seen on Sunday, June 23, 2012. The gardeners released the bugs in an effort to keep the aphids under control. To welcome the new residents of the garden, the gardeners had a festival inviting children and adults from the area to participate in the release of the ladybugs. (© Frances M. Roberts)
