ATLANTA, Ga. (Aug. 28, 2018) Dr. GeorgiAnna Sheppard with the Office of Naval Research observes students in a honors chemistry class at Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Ga., during a Department of Navy (DoN) Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI) Program visit. During the first-ever high school outreach visit for the DoN HBCU/MI program, representatives discussed the Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP), which provides internships for high school students at Navy labs and warfare centers around the country.
