An Italian cinquedea, Emilia, circa 1490/1500 Typical broad blade with double fullers on both sides. A star mark stamped on one side. Iron quillons with heavily worn fire gilding. Ivory grip scales with four large hollow rivets with intact tracery covering. The gilt grip straps show the partially cleaned off inscription, "...SUPERI - PRAEBENT VICTORIAM". Pommel with engraved and relief decoration and remnants of fire gilding. Small blossom-shaped top cap. Also a leather-covered wooden scabbard with brass furniture, certainly a Historismus era replacement. Lengt,
