It is of the double platen type withfour cylinders, and lias a double pressure capacity of. s Press Will Hold Nearly Fifty Men. 920 ions. Each of the four cylinders has a 13-inchram working in it. The four rams may be operatedin unison when it is desired to raise the two platens or w hole pressing serv ice, or they may be operated intwo pairs, each pair of rams raising one platen. Whenthe two platens are in use the press will accommodatestock 192 inches long and 96 inches wide, or whenthe platens are operated separately, they will each ac-commodate stock 96 inches square. The daylightspace between the platen and pressure head is 64inches, which is sufficient to accommodate a truckand clamping plate, together with a package of stock36 inches high. On each side of the platen four crickets are pro-vided to support the wheels of the truck until the pla-ten begins to rise, when the wheels will be receivedinto the pockets in the platen track, thus permittingihe bolsters of the truck to come firmly against theplaten.
