JOHN D. HOLT. (corner of WASHINGTON AND HARRISON STREETS.) in October, and the regular monthly meetings on the first Monday ofeach month. Special meetings are called from time to time by thepresiding officer or members of the Executive Committee as mattersof urgency arise. The Lynchburg Tobacco Association is perhaps the best organizedand most systematic commercial body in Virginia, if not in the wholeSouth ; and it is but just to state that this state of efficiency has beenattained, to a great extent, through the untiring energy and incessantvigilance of its President, Mr. John T. Edwards, who was elected tothis position in October, 1885, and re-elected in 1886, after havingpreviously served the Association as Vice-President.
