An old and well known sort, good quality, berry medium, long bunch. Very pro- ductive. Victoria. Large, bright red, bunches extremely long, berries medium size, of excellent quality. Good, erect grower; very productive. Ripens late. One of. the most valuable sorts. White Dutch. An old, well-known variety of me- dium size and excellent quality. White Grape. Very large, yellowish white, sweet, or very mild acid, excellent quality and valuable for the table, the finest of the white sorts. Very pro- ductive. Except noted, 1 year 10c. each, $ for 15, $ for 100. GOOSEBERRIES. Plant in good rich soil and give a liberal dressing of manure every season. Regular pruning every year is essential for the production of fine fruit. The English varieties especially do best in partial shade and should be heavily mulched. To prevent mildew spray bushes soon as leaves appear and several times during the Summer with potassium sulphide (liver of sulphur), one ounce to four gallons of water. ENGLISH VARIETIES. Crown Bob. Large, roundish oval, red, hairy, of first Industry. Undoubtedly the best well tested foreign variety ever introduced into this country. It stands at the head in England for a profitable market sort.
