Ilona and Judit Gófitz (October 19, 1701 - February 8, 1723), also known as the Hungarian Sisters, were conjoined twins from Szony, Hungary. From the age of seven they traveled widely as curiosities, to Holland, England, France, Italy and Russia. Buffon notes that their characters were very different: Judith is described as irritable and dull, Helene clever, pretty and fun. They shared one anus, but otherwise organs seemed separate.
