The Himalayan ranges to the north of Kathmandu seen from Pulchoki
A winding road snakes up Pulchowki or Pulchoki at 2700m the highest hill in the Kathmandu valley. From the top it is possible to get grand views of the Himalayan ranges that stretch across Nepal to the north. In the distance can be seen part of the Langtang Himal beneath the streaks of pastel clouds and vivid blue sky. These mountains reach heights of over 7000m. The views are particularly clear as this was taken in January 2005 and in winter the normally dusty atmosphere is much cleaner
