Some months ago it was recorded here that H. A. Achenburg, of Teich & Co., realtors, 309 South La Salle street, had approached the wholesalers on the mat- ter of simultaneous removal from the present market district to one where better accommodations are to be had for less money. Now Mr. Achenburg is ask- ing the wholesalers to appoint a com- mittee to go into the details prior to presenting a definite proposition. It is understood he has in mind a building at Lake and Jefferson streets adequate to house all the wholesale cut flower and supply houses. Various Notes. The first white chrysanthemums of the season appeared August 23, at the store of the E. C. Amling Co. They were locally grown October Frost. The A. B. C. officers and employees had a ball game at the Hazel Crest Farm August 26 and, incidentally, another look at the gladioli growing there. A. J. Zech and Mrs. Zech drove to Lake Delavan August 26, returning Au- gust 28. They plan to make the trip again to stay over Labor day. Miss Nelda Wolf returned to her duties in the office of Zech & Mann August 28, after three weeks spent in the moun- tains in Colorado. Eric Johnson says the A. L. Randall.
