Exterior view of Cardiff Castle.
Gv of Cardiff Castle designed some of which was designed by William Burgess (1827-1881). William Burges designed a large part of Cardiff Castle for John Crichton-Stuart, 3rd Marquess of Bute constructed between 1866 and 1928. The Arab Room was inspired by Burges's love of Moorish design, sadly Burges died in 1881, around the time of the Arab Rooms construction, and is unlikely to have seen it completed. 9 May 2013
