The decorative committee work- ing with Chairman W. W, Hannell re- ceived much praise for the fine showing made. The floral booths contributed to the general effect, each occupant vying with the others for the best artistic decora- tion. The booth holders were as fol- lows: Arkay Florists, Danker, Flower- dale, Fred Henkes, Holmes Bros., J. P. and M. Travison, Eosery Flower Shop, all of Albany; A. D. Carpenter, Cohoes, N. Y.; Rosendale Flower Shop, Schenec- tady, N. Y.; Western Union Telegraph Co., Albany branch. Banker's nursery department had a fine collection of conifers, artistically grouped. The setting of Fred Henkes, a hunter's cabin with the accompanying collection of birds and game, w^as ad- mittedly in a class by itself. The Albany Cut Flower Exchange ex- hibited florists' supplies in a conspicu- ous place. Manager Thomas Tracey ex- plained the latest contrivance in connec- tion with work on floral blankets. There were also many novelties for the holi- days seen here. E. G. Slicker, local representative of the A. L. Eandall Co., Chicago, had a full line of sample baskets, many of which were lent to the several ex- hibitors, and much appreciated. From a Distance F. R. Pierson, Tarrytown, X. Y., showed a collection of famous ferns and also some roses. A. N. Pierson, Inc., Cromwell, Conn., .sent the new rose. Commonwealth, which was much admired and a valued contribution. James H. Snyder staged a grand lot of Rhinebeck-grown Marie Louise violets. Joseph Traudt, Canajoharie, N. Y., .sh
