A cross at the Khami UNESCO World Heritage Site close to Bulawayo in Zimbabwe.

The cross was laid down by a Christian missionary. The Khami ruins mark the site of the Kingdom of Butua's capital, a civilization that thrived under the Torwa dynasty, following the decline of Great Zimbabwe. The civilization was at its peak from around 1450 to 1683, when Khami was ransacked.
