US Army soldiers from the 1ST Special Forces Group, Fort Lewis, Washington, receive hand-to-hand combat training from members in the Royal Thai Army during this year's Exercise COBRA GOLD 2001. CG '01 is a regularly scheduled, joint-combined exercise designed to ensure regional peace and strengthen the ability of the royal Thai Armed Forces to defend Thailand or respond to regional contingencies.
