Since modern methods enable the surgeon to explore every-part of the human body, all possible means of discovering varioussurgical lesions are made necessary. A potent reason for oneman doing more surgery than another is the fact that he is pre-pared to find the diseases. I am aware that there is a class ofsurgeons who have formulas for arriving at diagnoses and recom-mending operation.
