The helicopter is operated by ADAC (Allgemeine Deutsche Automobil Club) and carries the pilot, a paramedic and a doctor who is based at the Benjamin Franklin Campus of the Charitè service was launched in 1987 and and carries out approximately 2500 operations every year.
