About 700people were in attendance, and it was a pronounced success in every great deal of interest was expressed in the dairy herd which was on exhibi-tion. An exceptionally good feature of the days program was a canning demon-stration given by the County Agricultural Agent in cooperation with an officer. Ar dmor e: (c ont i nue d) of the Brookings Agriculture College. A great deal of interest was expressedby the ladies in this canning demonstration. The chief entertainment of theday was an exhibition of trained thoroughbred horses by Mr. Roy Johnson, wholives in the vicinity of Ardraore. Without expense to this institution, he puton two high dives by two of his horses, and also gave an exhibition of hisgaited horses. Among other horses he had in the show ring was Sterling Princea high school horse of exceptional ability. Some members of this office mayrecall a report which was published in the News Letter0 for the week endingMay 6 , 1916, in which the superintendent of this tation reported the treat-ment of a horse for a broken leg. It will be recalled that this horse wasSterling *Vince. In the show ring on picnic day on this station, he showedthat he had entirely recovered from this broken leg, and was able to use thesame without the casual observer being a
