In March 2015 the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN71) made a operational courtesy visit to Portsmouth, UK along with the Destroyer, USS Winston S Churchill (DDG81). In March 2020 the ship was hit by an outbreak of the Covid-19 / Coronavirus amongst the crew and she was effectively quarantined alongside in Guam whilst measures were taken to halt the spread of the outbreak on board.
