Edinburgh, Scotland. Sat 12 March 2022. Visitors at the opening day of the ‘Counted | Scotland's Census 2022’ photography exhibition at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. The exhibition coincides with the 2022 Scottish Census - which takes place on 20 March 2022 - and features new acquisitions by photographers working in Scotland today including Kieran Dodds, Arpita Shah and Danny North. These are presented alongside pioneering 19th century photographs by Thomas Annan and Hill & Adamson and offer comparisons between past and present generations of Scots.
