He was born September 13, 1947 toLee and Grace McMillian. Heaccepted Christ at an early age andwas in the church all his life. As ayoung husband and father of threedaughters, he was very active in thechurch as a teacher and a member ofa singing group. He announced his call to theministry and was soon called aspastor of Welcome Home BaptistChurch who called for his ordination. His ordination was carried outby Oak Hill Church of which he was a member. His wife, Betty Blevins McMillian was so proud of this younghusband as he stood in the pulpit and told of Gods great love for allmankind. William M. Sexton wasordained at Pleasant Chapel ChurchAugust 19, 1950. Avery Elliott; clerk,Rev. Shepherd, Rev. RoePasley, Rev. Frank Tucker and Farmer, Moderator. He was pastor at Sabbath HomeBaptist Church, Chestnut HillChurch, Little Laurel Church, andCalvary Church. Brother Willie, as he was called,loved the church and was dedicatedto the work his Lord had called himto. He possessed a great zeal forsharing Gods Word and leading thelost to a personal experience withJesus Christ. He loved to share hisexcitement at the promise of our Lord to come again for His Bride thechurch. His voice is silent now so far as sharing the Good News fromthe pulpit but in the words of Hebrews 11:4, he being dead yetspeaketh. May God bless his memory to each of our hearts.
