An illustrated lecture was given by Harry E. Bates, of the Lord & Burn- ham Co., describing up-to-date green- houses in Rochester and vicinity. It will be decided at the next meeting, Monday evening, April 20, whether another flower show will be conducted this fall. The show last year was de- clared a success. Plans were made for the bringing to Rochester of John Farquhar, of Boston, Mass., former president of the 8. A. F. Two large shoe store windows were decorated last week with quite a num- ber of birch bark boxes filled with colored crocuses in full bloom. No loud colors were shown, but the daintiest and prettiest display seen this spring. The Rochester Floral Co. had a pretty display in its window last week. White and purple was the color scheme, and the display was composed solely of Easter lilies and baskets of violets. For a St. Patrick's day window, H. E. Wilson showed a miniature farm- yard surrounded with Irish hats and shamrocks, white hyacinths an3 lilacs. Miss Rose E. Browlf, of H. E. Wil- son's, has been initiated into the HUGO H.
