Traditional old bar exterior at Carmerstrasse, 9, Charlottenburg, Berlin The English translation of Dicke Wirtin is Fat Landlady and the original landlady was Anna Stanscheck who was known for her big heart & tasty stews. She had a great affection for the students of the nearby University of Fine Arts and the pub was a popular venue for artists, authors and actors alike. Good Berlin-style food, an easy-going atmosphere and a delicious beer on tap have earned the place a host of regulars and a popularity which exceeds the Berlin city limits by far. It is a Cosy pub & restaurant serving regional cuisine. The interior has wood panellingand knick-knacks on the walls
