CRIMSON—(TrifoUum incarnatum.)—Fairly hardy and grows rapidly in the beginning of the season. If sown on pasture or hay land, just as the snow is going, in ordinary years, it will produce a paying crop the same season. Per lb. 10c. WHITE DUTCH— (TrtfoHum repens.)—Valuable in all pasture mixtures, forming, in conjunction with pas- ture grasses, a fine close sod. Extra choice for Lawns. Per lb. 30c; choice, 20c. per lb. ALSIKE—(Trifolium hybridum.)—A hybrid of White Dutch and the common red clover. Makes a nutritious fodder and succeeds in low lands better than any other clover. We strongly recommend a mixture of Alsike with either the Western Red or Mammoth, in the pro- portion of two to five lbs. in all hay mixtures. Per lb. 20c. Scarce and high. YELLOW—Trefoil or Hop Clover. Well adapted as a mixture with other clovers and grasses for pasture, especially for Sheep. Per lb. 15c. BOKHARA—(Melilotus albus.)—Very sweet-scented, valu- able for bees. Per lb. 20c. LUCERNE or ALFALFA— (M edicago sativa.)—Yields enormously, and is a sweet and highly nutritious fod- der. Should be sown in well-drained soil, with a natu- rally free and dry subsoil, at the rate of 20 lbs. per acre. Per lb. 15c. Prices for large quantities on application.
