The woman wears a dress with a cord to the high waist, to which an embroidered bag, called 'balantine'. Further accessories: sandals, earrings and matching necklace, brooch (?). Girl: Jap with short puff sleeves, the zoom decorated with a meander motif. Sandals. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Laden et des Modes, published by Sellèque, Paris, 1797-1839.
