A Thuringian carved staghorn powder flask, circa 1830/40 The body made from staghorn, on the front side with a finely carved depiction of a pack of dogs hounding two large boars. The opposite side with natural surface. The plates of the bottom and the lid made from stag roses, the patent spout made from nickel silver. Finely turned carrying rings made from bone. The stag roses of the bottom plate are knocked, one small shrinkage crack on the reverse side. Length 21 cm.
