A text explains the room: 'At the farthest wish decision from December 22, 1847, Adriaan van der Hoop, born 28 April 1778 in Amsterdam, died there, 17 March 1854, Commandur of the Order of the Netherlands Lion, Ridder Order of St. Anna van Russia 2nd class, member of the First Chamber of the States General, Member of the States of the Province of N-Holland and from the Council of Amsterdam, Banker and Koopman, his collection of paintings vacifiated.
