Sir John Ogle, English soldier. Ogle (c1569-1640) was a lieutenant-colonel in the English army fighting on the side of the Dutch against Spain in the Netherlands in the late 16th and early 17th century. Maurice of Nassau, Prince of Orange, appointed him Governor of Utrecht.
