Annie Easley (April 23, 1933 - June 25, 2011) was a computer scientist, mathematician, and rocket scientist. She worked at NASA and was one of the first African-Americans to work as a computer scientist and helped develop the software for the Centaur rocket stage. Easley's work with the Centaur project helped as technological foundations for the space shuttle launches.
