Royal Palace of Kronborg in Helsingor, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark. August 15th 2010, built in XV century as Krogen fortress by king Eric of Pomerania, monarch of Denmark, Sweden and Norway, to collect payment of sound dues from all ships entering or leaving the Baltic Sea passing through the Sound. Rebuilt in XVII century by Hans Hendrik van Paesschen and Anthonis van Obbergen in Renaissance style, and in XVII century after the fire by Hans van Steenwinckel the Younger in Baroque style, castle became one of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe. Immortalized as Elsinore in William Shakespeare play Hamlet and listed World Heritage by UNESCO
