Engravingt of Sir Philip Sidney (1554 – 1586) English poet, courtier, scholar and soldier who is remembered as one of the most prominent figures of the Elizabethan age, and especially for his selfless valor on the battlefield at Zutphen in 1586. While lying wounded he gave his water to another wounded soldier, saying, "Thy necessity is yet greater than mine".
