DDWX William Kennedy, a retired locomotiveengineer of the Grand Trunk, who recentlyattained his 97th year, is to have the honorof having a medal presented to him onthe occasion of the completion of his fif-tieth year as a member of the Brother-hood of Locomotive Engineers. He was locomotive man for many years on the pay-masters train before division points wereestablished. Charles Caldwell McChord has beenelected chairman of the Interstate Com-merce Commission, succeeding Edgar , resigned. Mr. McChord was en-gaged in the general practice of law whenhe was appointed a member of the Ken-tucky Railroad Commission in 1892. Heshowed much ability, particularly in han-dling railroad problems, and in 1910 wasappointed a member of the Interstate Com-merce Commission. T. A.
