SPECTACULAR pictures show a mountain engulfed in fire as well as the emergency air efforts to extinguish it. Italian civil defence fire fighter aircraft called Canadair spent 30 hours battling to put out a fire that eventually covered 2,000 hectares of land, destroying oak, hornbeam and beech trees. Garden curator Alfredo Costanzo (49) took the dramatic shots in Tremezzo in the Italian province of Como, where the fire which experts believe was deliberately started, was one of the worst in 20-years.
